Quiet is a typography project that showcases the use of letterforms in different mediums that convey the definition of quiet. A bold, elegant typeface was chosen as a way to communicate how many people view having quiet time as a luxury as well as viewing quietness to be almost ‘loud,’ similar to silence. Although the typeface is quite bold, the use of fake moss and grass quiet’s the word and softens it into the background. Inspiration for the layout itself not only came from forests, but from the iSpy children’s book series written by Jean Marzollo.
